Camp Westlake offers a wide variety of activities . We fill your child’s day with sports, art projects, team games, water games, silly science, laser tag, laser maze, scavenger hunts, talent contests and more. We tap into your child’s creativity and channel their imagination into art work, rhythmic music and comedy sketches.

We also offer electives in Lego animation, movie making, prop and set design. There is an additional fee which covers materials.

You are invited to see their imagination come to life on our Family night. This is where we showcase their art work, movies, skits, plays and projects for you to see.

We also offer weekly specialist electives run by The Academy of Film-making & Animation. At an additional cost of just $40 per week*. Campers can be signed up to attend the following all inclusive classes.

Open up a world of adventure and possibilities through the medium of Lego. We supply Lego and cool mini-figures for this exciting camp elective. A variety of themes are available each camp session that include star wars, Minecraft, Spiderman, Superman and more heroes and super villains from the Marvel and DC universe. Campers design and build their own Lego worlds. They create their own narratives and cast of characters. Using the art of stop motion animation their Lego masterpieces are brought to life! All movies are premiered on the big screen on family nights and available for download.

In this exciting elective the art of film making is revealed. We have a workshop just for special effects. Students have a blast learning how to use green screens, make characters appear and disappear, use CGI monsters as part of an action sequence! Students also learn how to plan, perform and execute action and stunt sequences. In our acting for the Camera workshop, aspiring young actors learn about performing in front of a camera. They act out scenes from comedies and dramas learning valuable auditioning techniques. In our prop & costume design workshop students will make props like armor, helmets and masks. They turn simple craft supplies into shiny metal, worn-out leather or even rusted copper. Each week of camp is dedicated to a different workshop as outlined in the schedule below.
